Come and join me on this 1 day knitting course which will introduce you to the technique of Fair Isle to produce mitts.
You will learn the basic elements that make up fair isle knitting, working in the round, corrugated rib, working with charts, working with 2 yarns at a time and learn about how colour is used in this technique.
This course is suitable for any student who can knit but wants to learn about fair isle.
The price is for tuition only, students will need at least 2 colours of yarn (but possibly up to 4 or 6) and the appropriate knitting needles for it. I recommend a pure wool 2ply weight yarn and 2.75 - 3.5mm needles.
Materials and needles can be purchased at the workshop if students wish.
